Our Story
As of 2026, Studio 427 is entering an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Jean Chesterman, who oversees the business operations and long‑term vision of the studio. Jean continues the legacy of more than 40 years of combined interior design expertise established by founders Laura Austin‑Bullock and Dawnn Marvin, who opened the studio in 2007 and built its reputation for thoughtful, functional design across residential and commercial spaces.
Today, Studio 427’s design legacy is carried forward by a dedicated team, including décor specialist and studio manager Ashley Barkley, whose eye for detail shapes the retail experience, and Nancy Sissel, whose deep expertise in kitchen layout and design brings valuable insight to renovation projects. Together, the team blends experience, creativity, and a fresh perspective to support every client’s vision.
Our showroom includes a curated home décor retail area featuring unique accessories and custom furniture, along with an extensive design showroom offering samples of carpet, fabrics, draperies, and window treatments.
